When you are young
You think that there are
1 million paths to walk
1 million opportunities to take
1 million choices to make
And 1 million versions
Of the person you can become
The hardest part about growing up
For me is to accept that
There are paths you’ll never walk
And opportunities you’ll never take
Because of choices you make
And to accept that you have to
Live with the one version of the person
You’ve already become
